Heritage Park

Glinsk Archaeological And Cultural Park is a major proposed tourism/enterprise project situated adjacent to Glinsk Castle .

The Glinsk Heritage Park will be a celebration of Irish Culture and Heritage -an opportunity to "walk back in time " tracing the development of the Irish people from the hunters of mesolithic times to the Golden Age of Ireland's Christian period.

helped to shape the world.

Few people can visualise what these times were like. This project proposes to recreate how people live, worshiped and buried their dead.

A visit to the Glinsk Heritage Park will be like no other you can imagine. Surprises will await around every turn as this proposed remarkable heritage trail.

From campsite to Ringfort, from mill to Fulacht Fiadh, from Crannog to an early Christin site

The world you enter will be an authentic recreation of Ireland's heritage. Homesteads, places of ritual, burial modes and long forgotten remains will enlighten the casual visitor and interest the scholar.

Everywhere you go there will be opportunities for discovery and learning.
Chat with guides, delight in the tour and experience the grinding of grain in the Horizontal Water Mill.

Within the park, children will have a unique opportunity to experience Ireland's heritage in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere. Special programmes and family fun days will entertain and delight children, it will be a place where history is happening everyday

Our aim is to ensure that every visit to the Glinsk Heritage Park will be a time you will never forget.

.This project when competed will enable you to leave today behind and begin and unforgettable journey through 9000 years of Irish history

Present Investment in this project totals over 300.000, which includes site purchase , design work for reception building and 15 Heritage sites, development of lakes, pathways, the placement of ten stone

to complete this project a further 500,000 is being sort through various funding agencies, however we welcome investment of any amount, The Ireland Fund sponsored the building of the Crannog last year. Please contact us for further information info@glinsk.com
