Catholic Schools Week:  The Children of Glinsk National School prepared a Display for Catholic Schools Week.  The display is in the Church this weekend.

Eucharistic Adoration: Just a reminder that Michael Kumar, coordinator for Eucharistic Adoration in Tuam Archdiocese, will speak to us at Masses in Glinsk next weekend, February 11th & 12th to introduce the practice of Eucharistic Adoration and to prepare us for the introduction of the practice beginning in early March.  A Steering Committee is already active and will be seeking a commitment from those who are interested in Eucharistic Adoration in our Church.  If we can give one hour a week to quiet time with the Lord, it would be beneficial to our own spiritual lives and a gift to our parish.  No qualifications are necessary, just a willing heart.

Vigil Mass:  Because of Mr. Kumar’s visit there will be a Saturday vigil Mass also in Glinsk on 11th February.

Parish Council: Next meeting this Tuesday 7th February at 8.30pm in the Presbytery (after Mass).

Pioneer Association: Meeting after 10.30am Mass this Sunday.  All committee members please attend.  Tickets for Regional Dance are available until Wednesday 8th February.

Word Day of the Sick:  Saturday 11th February – the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Eucharistic Congress:  As part of the preparation for the 2012 Eucharistic Congress to be held in Dublin from June 10th to 17th, a joint committee comprising parish council members from both Glinsk & Kilbegnet has begun a process of planning for activities in our parish to help us prepare for the Congress.  In the coming week you will receive a letter indicating what the Eucharistic Congress is about and asking you, our parishioners, to submit ideas of your own of what you think we could do as a parish by way of preparation for the Eucharist Congress.
